Late this evening, Deputy Prime Minister and Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak issued a public apology to all Malaysians over the racist statement made by Ahmad Ismail, the Umno Bukit Bendera division head, in the run-up to the Permatang Pauh parliamentary by-election.
This is seen by many as a departure from the "arrogant" Umno, we used to know and is definitely better than "I will tell him not to do it again" statement.
I hope the party, being the backbone of the Barisan Nasional, realises that it does not merely cater for one single race but also is watched by other races in the country.
Umno leaders should realise that they do not just cater for a specific race and should watch what they say.
We in the MIC, MCA or even Gerakan even at our general assemblies are controlled in our words even when we talk about Bumiputera policies and privileges. They too should do the same.
They also need to realise the change in the nation's political landscape and the time has come for them to make sweeping statement, that could hurt the feelings of other races.
We need to bring back the good old days of tolerance, unity with sincerity and not mere words. Let us hope that this mistake would not be repeated and that the Bukit Bendera Umno division head would be dealt with accordingly by the party.

Lets get one thing straight. MIC and its leaders have th ebest chance to equalise the position of Indians vis a vis the other races in Malaysia. We do not have to be cast to remaining forever the third or criminal class.

Join Pakatan and move along with Pakatan.

No. I will certainly be making a lot of noise if MIC is accepted into the Pakatan coalition party. I certainly would not want anyone claiming to represent me just because I am an Indian. So join DAP or PKR maybe. After all between PKR and DAP they have at this time put into parliament more Indian MPs than MIC has ever been able to put into parliament.

So, tell me. How are you supposed to represent the Indians once BN gets kicked off and Pakatan rules? Are you then suggesting that you will abandon the Indians?

No. Not that I want you guys representing Indians. But remember, that is your justification for being. That MIC is supposed to represent Indians. If that is indeed the case, how is it supposed to serve its purpose outside the ruling coalition?

And as for UMNO's apologies, I will not gloat if I were you. A wounded tiger just growls and withdraws for just a while. It will get healed in a week, or by then it will get used to the injury. It will come back even more ferocious. You wait and see!!

What a load of crap. Why is Najib apologizing on behalf of Ahmad? And why is it only aimed at the non-Malays, specifically the Chinese?

Ahmad should apologize to ALL Malaysians for his words.

Utter rubbish as usual.

And Saravanan, since you seem to care for Indians more than the ordinary Indian maybe you got an opinion over what you think of Samy Velu's beneficial interest in that Bandar Utama land that is supposedly being held in trust BY MIC?

He was not satisfied whacking the Tenaga shares from Maika. Now he whacks a piece of land which obviously was misappropriated. Of course after the PR government in Selangor gazettes the land as for public use only, Samy will be holding a duck!!

But in the meantime your silence is deafing! Can't stand it la!~

Dear Dato,

Some of the UMNO members are still arrogant and fanatic. They can't be changed. A few things had been raised on the racial issue.

UMNO must realise that they can't form the government without the support from other BN component parties such as MCA, MIC, Gerakan and others especially in current situation.

We must put a stop on this kind of racial issue statements and it should not be happened in future.

How to do it? First of all, a drastic action should be taken on him by the leadership of UMNO as a lesson to other UMNO members. Why TPM apologize for the statement given by other person? Where is he now? In fact PDRM is looking for him. This guy is making the situation worst.

The leaderships of UMNO shall warm strictly to all their members not to make any statement regarding racial issue otherwise action will be taken on them. This is not enforced in the UMNO because anyone can talk without concerning their boss.... UMNO must learn from this lesson.

The heat of 16 Sept is coming nearer and nearer. What is ur comments, Dato?

All the best to you.

With regards,
Bidor, Perak.

Rakyat menyeru supaya bebaskan tokoh Hindaf ataupun penjarakan Dato Ahmad Ismail sama sekali.

Dear YB,
Since UMNO now "On the horns of a dilemma".It's a simple theory is UMNO actually ruined by PR12 and lately Permatang Pauh by-election.The majority of Malays now turned them down. They in very deprest condition to win the Malays heart back.So ,In Malaysia using racial issue and become an Ultra-Malay is the simplest way to gained the race support. This go to YB also!.Actually every politicians subsequently using racism for heir political milestone. The Indians and Chineese very much supportive to Anwar cause he claimed that he is not racist!.With track record Anwar is more Ultra Muslim and Worst racist than any body in the UMNO!.Anwar is cheating every Indians and China man in this country for his own PM post. His only ambitions is to hold the PM post after that we going to suffer that is the fate of the minority race!.

For Indian's community in Malaysia to fullfill the dream"Malaysian Malaysia" is something like "To rip up old sores"!.If you carefully read "mr.Kernell Singh Sandu,A.Mani"Indian Communities in southeast Asia"they clearly written:"The malays have acquired the distinct impression over the years that the Indians'political and emotional link with India has remained in eradcably strong. As result, the Malays are wont to regard the Indians as still very much an immigrant group in Malaysia".

For the Indians in Malaysia first we must unite and become strong in mentaly and economicaly to stand same level with other races. And please stop listening what ever nonsense this anwar is talking. We enough been used by others whole our life with so many promises so now the time we stand with our own leg!.Let them crying and kneeling come to ours for the support for their parties!.After so long the Indians are soaking in Gerakan only now giving us the Selangor Gerakan Chairman post..things are coming on the way...believe me!And dont blindly support any parties out there!just cool and stay in MIC.Used them is better than used by!.A bird in hand is worth two in the bush.Remember to handle Pak lah is easier than handle Anwar!.Because Pak lah is a drowning man will clutch at a straw!!!!.Goodday YB.

Dear Saravanan,

Here you go again...

You have been told to delete your own writing and your own view in your own blog about AHMAD?

Are we being slave to UMNO?

I rather allow myself to be colonolist by the british indeed rather than the Malays.

More than 250 indian youth been recruited to PKR in Hulu Selangor this week. That will be 13,000 members for a year (52 weeks x 250members). Please dont misunderstand me, I am not promoting PKR in your blog. I am still not a PKR member yet. But its quite interesting to let you know the figure.

When the student compose a song about negaraku... even the cabinet never except his apologise.

best of luck.
