ANWAR WINS PERMATANG PAUH

Anwar Ibrahim has made it to Parliament. Yesterday, he won the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat beating a BN candidate and an independent hopeful. He would be sworn in tomorrow and would make his return to Parliament after a 10-year hiatus on Friday, when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi tables the 2009 Budget. The proceedings on Friday starts around 4pm and would be telecast live on national TV. The PKR leader has vowed that he would watch the budget with intent. All the best!

Below are results of the by-election.

Anwar Ibrahim (PKR): 31,195 votes
Arif Shah Omar Shah (BN): 15,524 votes
Hanafi Mamat (Ind): 92 votes
Spoilt votes: 447 votes
Turnout: 47,258 or 81% of the total number of registered voters in the constituency.
Majority: 15,671 votes (higher than the 13,388 vote majority obtained by Wan Azizah Wan Ismail at the March 2008 elections)

This is what we are talking about.

So its time to consider. After the great 8 march, YB DSAI has been attacked from all corners and angles. Everyone knows. With all type of allegation and lies. Unfortunately nothing hits and change this tough guy. This shows the rakyat has rejected BN and it goes to MIC too. The support for YB DSAI is growing everyday.
DS Wan Azizah secured one seat in 2004 and in 2008 the percentage grows tremendously. Even the the majority has improved in Permatang Pauh by election. Its a simple calculation.
The majority improvement percentage for YB DSAI shows he may "sapu bersih" in 2012.

He did it in his own way too.

Lets get real...

No one in this country can ever challenge UMNO/BN and our right except for YB DSAI. YB Karpal and YB Lim can't question this as we are non malays and we will be detain under ISA for asking our rights. But YB DSAI surely is the man who can change Malaysia into truly Malaysia. He is a fighter. He is a surviver. He is tough. He has gone through everything in his life. He knows his enemy very well. He is the man from inside. He is the man for Malaysia specially non malays.

Take care and goodluck to you.

So Sarava, are you still intent on ensuring the Indians remain caught up in race based politics where quite naturally we remain only an after thought? The criminal class?

Or are you ready to pull MIC out of BN. Close it dwon and tell them all to join PKR or DAP and become part of Pakatan Rakyat? Mind you its quite alright too to disband and join Gerakan so that there is just a single multi-racial party that has a political philosophy that is not driven by race! This party can then be the one opposed to Pakatan Rakyat.
