UMNO UNDERGOES LEADERSHIP CHANGE THROUGH DEMOCRACY

Umno, the country's largest political party is currently undergoing a leadership change. Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has been declared president at the on-going Umno general assembly after he won the post uncontested.
At yesterday's election party delegates picked a deputy president, three vice presidents and 25 supreme council members.
Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has been picked as party number two. The three veeps are filled by Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.
The 25 supreme council seats has quite a few new faces. This would eventually lead to a cabinet reshuffle and judging from the results yesterday expect the reshuffle to be a major.
To all the winners of yesterday's elections, a hearty congratulations.

Dear, sir thank for hearing to Indian voice, since not indian politicians do not have this kind of direct communication between public.Sir I'm Simon Peter one student from University Malaysia Pahang,Sir this year we are have new program that called Malam Pesta Cahaya, actually we already have this kind of cultural night since two years, but this year we have plan to make this event to contribute to our indian community. Especially for poor tamil school. What we want to do is to do this program and then from that revenue we want to allocate one part of it to that particular school.
I hope Sir also can consider our intention and motive, and I like to request and tell you our problem is we are not have so much of budget I hope Dato will give us your hand in this sincere and to our community also.

Thank You

I wonder how you can call what UMNO went though to be a 'leadership change through democracy'.

Considering that we now are being led by someone who was not in power at the time of the last election, it is certainly not the people who have chosen this new leadership.

And the lack of contenders, the dismissal of 'one but not another' candidate...

Well, if that's what you call democracy, I think you need to buy a new dictionary.
