The Ampang Jaya Temple Fiasco

Over the last week, a lot had been said about the Ampang Jaya temple demolition by Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya enforcement officials. However, till today nothing concrete has come out from the local council or the Selangor state government apart from statement after statement by these two bodies. State excos are being rhetoric, with one even saying that it was not a temple but just a shrine.
Does that give the right for improper demolition of the said temple? MIC on the other hand has asked for answers. Will the temple be rebuilt? Will it receive any form of compensation? Will the state government apologise for the demolition? etc.
These are some questions which had been left unanswered. Now there is also the question of Hindraf, which incidentially was set up to save guard temples in the country, among others. The deafing silence by Hindraf is also another issue. Why the silence? Is it because the state was run by the Pakatan government? Why are there no forth coming statements? Maybe, Hindraf is busy trying to ensure the release of its five leaders that the temple demolition had taken a backseat.
Even yesterday several thousands Indians were back on the streets of Kuala Lumpur demanding the release of the Hindraf Five. Would it be better to have staged the protest at the site of the temple? Why was not this done? Refer to a Malaysiakini report at http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/90481. Some may not be able to access this, you have to subsribe. I have reproduced it below.
Back to the question of the temple. The Selangor state government should not repeat the mistake done by the former Selangor government, who had in my view, ignored the plea of the Indian community in demolishing temples. That government, especially the then Menteri Besar totally disregarded the views of the community, MIC included. They suffered the backlash at the March general election.
Now Pakatan is going the same way. The MB has not even commented on the issue. Is it because of fear that the government might face backlash from the Malay community for speaking for Hindus?
p/s: Please come up with sensible arguements. This post is not discussing if MIC was effective in stopping demolition of temples. It is aimed at obtaining comments that would safeguard our temples in the future, may it be in BN controlled states or otherwise. It is not about MIC or Samy Vellu bashing. It is about Hindus and the Malaysian Indian community!
p/s: Kavitha of Puchong please check your facts the next time you write. Also please refer to the Hindraf website. They have finally come out with a statement. And for your information even the Pakatan MP who said it was demolished for renovation has even denied saying that. Please try to have an intelligent comment after checking facts. Thanks for dropping by.

ISA detainees' wives: Hindraf has changed

Fauwaz Abdul Aziz | Sep 26, 08 7:53pm

The struggle of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) is different now compared to when it started some 10 months ago under the leadership of the five who are currently under Internal Security Act (ISA) detention, said the wives of two leaders today.
Dr M Kalaivani and B Buvaneswary, the wives of K Kenghadharan and V Ganabatirau, respectively, said they were not comfortable with the direction in which the movement has taken.
Speaking at a press conference in Kelana Jaya, Kalaivani said aside from the goal of obtaining the release of the Hindraf leaders, what is of utmost importance is that the Indian community's problems are alleviated.
Both these goals can be affected without rallies planned by those now coordinating Hindraf activities.
On the contrary, they said the rallies may actually serve to harm the chances of the five's release.
"What I know from my husband, the struggle was different in the beginning and it seems to have taken a different turn at the present moment. I was not involved in Hindraf at all so I cannot comment on what their principles were," said Kalaivani.
"(But) from what we see in the present leadership, we’re not very comfortable with it," she added.
Citing plans by Hindraf to gather 10,000 people at Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's Hari Raya open house later next month, she said this would serve as a form of ‘intimidation’ rather than anything else.
Asked if her husband insisted on supporting the movement along such lines in the even he is released, Kalaivani said she would not support him.
"I feel that there are a lot of ways to help the community. You would have to ask my husband, but ... I would not support him if this is how the struggle is going to be.
"I personally feel there is a lot of other ways to continue helping the community, and this we would definitely do.
"If fact, I might even join him to do it together (if he chooses other means of helping the Indian community)," she said.

Samy Vellu's efforts appreciated

During the press conference, the wives also recorded their appreciation for MIC president S Samy Vellu and other quarters who are pushing for the five's release.
Commenting on the statements by certain quarters who questioned the "integrity and sincerity" of Samy Vellu in declaring he had met with Abdullah and sought the release of the Hindraf leaders, Kalaivani said her family’s only wish was to see her husband's return.
"I'm sure it’s the same for the other detainees as well and we sincerely hope that no individuals would continue questioning the integrity of any leaders or individuals from any party or question why they are asking for the release of our husbands.
"We appreciate the efforts taken by anybody to secure the release of our husbands, and we sincerely hope that the prime minister, the Deputy Prime Minister (Najib Abdul Razak) and the Home Minister (Syed Hamid Albar) would seriously consider their release very soon," she said.

Dato,

Let me thank you for publishing our comments. Thats good of you however I think you dont read news, you just like to write something and mislead the public.

Why isnt Hindraf protesting? Thats because the temple was dismantled by the temple comittee themselves for renovation (read your own MCA controlled Star paper please). Even Samy Vellu backtracked after initial blunder.

Although initially MPAJ was thought to be responsible, the temple comittee had denied this. Hence HINDRAF has no reason to interfere. Plus state goverment has ordered the stopping of any temple destruction, so nothing is allowed by state govt. If you have any evidence that state govt issued permission, please publish here and we will protest. Plus the initial building was destroyed by BN govt (including MIC ) before the elections. Why that time no guts to speak?

We didnt vote for MIC and will continue to abstain because you have sold our rights to UMNO and allowed hundreds of temples being destroyed - where were you then? Where we you and Samy when Manoharan and Uthayakumar was arrested for stopping the tractor in Banting?

Dato, how about the temple in Pahang which was destroyed last month? Why is the deafening silence from MIC?

And why are you unhappy that HINDRAF is fighting for the five heroes in ISA detention.

Saravanan Murugan, said...

Think Kavitha has got all her facts wrong. Please check your facts before commeting. tq

Dato,

With all due respect, I beg to differ.
I have checked my facts, in fact I drew my facts from TheStar paper, its goverment owned mainstream media, the temple committee themselves have removed the shrine due to renovation.
Suddenly you and Samy our heroes?

Please , Dato, do us a favour. Dont start behaving like our heroes now. When me and my mother, and many more Indians were assaulted by the police whilst stopping the Banting temple demolishment in 2006, it was Uthayakumar and Manoharan who came to our aid. DAP later issued a press conference condemning it. We approached MIC but you chased us away saying cannot interfere Selangor MB's decision.
Where were you to defend us then?

I was shocked when Khir Toyo said he demolished the temple in Klang because Samy Velu and Kamala Ganapathy has asked him to, claiming those temples have been infiltrated by hindraf. Why MIC didnt dare to answer Khir Toyo?

Until now has MIC helped Hindraf? Selangor govt supports the wife of our heroes who are behind ISA.
You know what Samy said of the hindraf 5 last time, they are terrorists? You tell me Dato, are they? IF not why are you keeping mum and not fighting for their release!

Did you read UPKO has threatened that if a Sabah native not given IC, they will pull out of BN!
Has MIC ever given such ultimatum to help thousands of stateless Malaysian born Indians?

Dato Sara, if you cannot help please keep quiet. I know you and MIC cant and wont help Indians. You attacked the Selangor MB, but I hope you realise that he cares more for Indians than you and the rest of MIC when he wanted to open UITM to non-malays? DId you even support him or even dare to suggest such things? He is a Malay man but loves us more than you indian cowards.

I am writing this from my heart. I hope you be a gentleman and publish this.
My hope is that 3 MIC MPs will switch from the dark side to PR so that we Indians can enjoy Malaysia too.

this kavitha is talking rubbish!, MPAJ has came out and apologized for the demolishing the temple, than came the Xavier by saying that it is not a temple but a shine what on earth is he talking about, if it is a church would Xavier said it? This lady kavitha is talking nonsense, what rubbish that the temple was brought down by the temple committee, she is from puchong and commenting about what is happening in ampang, kavitha i suggest you go and see what is happening in your back yard and very soon you will not have anything

hello dato sara,

well atlast you guys found something to talk bad about Pakatan rakyat.

hey, what happend to all the pending question you all failed to answer. let me think....how about maika holdings???

you own house in chaos.

by the way, how much you guys paying this boy punithan shan to hijack hindraf ha. looks like he succesfully infiltrated the hindraf main website now. so what next?

good training i suppose....

by the way, he is accessible to PWM's statement hours before its been officially published. so beware...he might a double agent...

Dear Datuk Saravanan,

I am most disappointed that you are taking some cheap shots at the PR govt. First of all, it is beyond any doubts that they have ordered all temple demolishment to be stopped.

In fact, do u remember the Klang temple where Khir Toyo demolished, and we later were told Samy Velu agreed? That temple is now being rebuilt with money provided by the Selangor govt.

Have you heard of the malay saying - jaga tepi kain sendiri. I think its perfect for you.
For example, why was there a deafening silence Datuk when a Perak UMNO assembywoman called us indians worst than Snakes?

Why was MIC quiet when UMNO AGM was held at the same day as Deepavali?

Why was MIC super super silent when Khairy said Indian newspaper vendors are culprits for UMNO AGM not reaching the malay masses?

Ok I understand you want us to talk about temple and not Samy bashing.

But let me challenge you Datuk, why dont you prove it here that it was demolished and not removed by the temple comittee.

Dont hide behind your blog, Datuk.
If you dare you come see us Hindraf. None of the MIC politicians ever helped Hindraf or the 5 heroes behind bars, only Pakatan politicians. Deputy CM Ramasamy even visited them in Kamunting and saudara Karpal is appearing in court for them, saudara Gopala has organised so many events to protest their detention.

What has MIC done apart from agreeing with their arrest.

Please Datuk, my last comment was not published, if this is not as well might as well we all stop coming here to express our opinions.

Saravanan,

Your article is aimed at breaking Hindraf.
You are so pathetic by pitting some of the wives against the others by quoting only some wives.

You are a disgrace to the community. If an Indian leader doesnt defend Hindraf, who else will. Remember we Hindraf dont have political affiliation, since MIC are the traitors, we will attack MIC until it is destroyed.

Cheapest attack on Hindraf so far. Cant even defend from Hamidah Othman you claim you can protect us?

Ampang MP criticized MIC for harping on this issue. Those days, when BN were in control, for the same temple, When MIC could not obtain the land deeds, some opposition members joined the league, condemned MIC. Now, Pakatan MP’s acknowledging this as a small dilemma?

For 19 years, the temple struggled for deeds, and yes, it was on forest reserve, therefore could not obtain the documents. The temple committee was advised to relocate, which they did not coz of the empty promises given by certain opposition members and hopes maybe given by MIC members whom claimed they could help. The temple should not be built and should have been relocated the moment it got an order but they prolong this issue for 19 years. Whom to hold liable now?

MPAJ should have sent a notice and conversant with the Reps . Why they did not abide the rule? Why disciplinary action is not taken against MPAJ Officers? YB.Lim could question Tan Sri Koh numerous times during the debate on why the negligent officer involved in Land purchase were transferred and not sacked, and for this matter, all comments are hushed?

If Xavier could not undertake this issue, impugn others and could profess this as a small issue, I wonder what does he consider as major problem and how did he embark upon it?

For me, Temples are one of Indians core issue. It symbolizes our rights and freedom living in a multi racial country. Xavier might think it’s just a shrine or small matter, I do take this seriously!

Please get your facts right, if the temple committee demolish the temple why did Kapar MP made this statement today:

Kapar Member of Parliament S.Manikavasagam is threatening to resign from Parti Keadilan Rakyat if no action is taken againstthose responsible for demolishing a temple in Ampang, on Sept 9.
Manikavasagam said the temple was demolished despite a directive from the state government and is calling for action against Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) president, his deputy and enforcement director. "I am willing to relinquish my post as the State PKR liaison deputy chairman as the first step and ultimately resign as a member of
PKR, if no action is taken." Manikavasagam told the New Straits Times that although he did not blame the Pakatan Rakyat State government, which did not sanction the demolition; but he could not remain silent on the matter.

This is the time everyone should be united, you don't have to hit back when someone is trying to champion something for a good cause. That's all I have to say, so stop all this bickering and try to work for one cause, forget about what has happen

Something very sinister is happening with Hindraf. It appears from the Google search below that Hindraf Chairman P. Waytha Moorthy had responded to MIC Blogger Punithan Shan's lies and false statements. However, the link provided has also drawn blanks. This Scribe has also found out as claimed by srihero1 that all comments against the vermin Punithan Shan in the www.hindraf.org blog does not get published. Instead, Punithan Shan's lies and false statements gets full coverage in www.hindraf.org. A check with www.hindraf.org shows that the Article has been taken out.

This Scribe has long held the believe that HINDRAF has been infiltrated by Special Branch Operatives and/or MIC moles. It appears here that HINDRAF is playing into the hands of Umno and MIC orchestrated by none other than Khir Toyo (top left) and Samy Vellu (top right) to split the ethnic Indian support for Pakatan Rakyat.

The stained hands of the Special Branch can be seen where recent statements made by Dr M Kalaivani and B Buvaneswary, the wives of K Kenghadharan and V Ganabatirau, which appeared in Malaysiakini on 26/09/08 and front paged on Tamil Nesan and Makkal Osai on 27/09/08, who said the struggle of the Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) is different now compared to when it started under the leadership of the five who are currently under ISA detention, and that they were not comfortable with the direction in which the movement has taken. It appears here the Special Branch has something to do with such statements coming out from the wives of the HINDRAF ISA Detainee's. Punithan Shan by himself is a nobody, however he seems to execute his deceptions with the guidance and support of powerful forces linked to UMNO and MIC.

Pakatan Rakyat and HINDRAF must be proactive and stand united against this very serious assault from the BN/Umno regime. In fact, Pakatan Rakyat and HINDRAF must take legal action against the likes of Punithan Shan before more damage is done. As for Kapar MP Manikavasagam, please remember that you were voted by not only Malaysian Indians but also all other Malaysians who had enough of the racist BN/Umno regime. If you quit because of your race, then you are also a racist like those in Umno. MIC and MCA. Remember, MIC, Samy Vellu and Punithan Shan have sold and are continuing to sell the Indians in Malaysia to keep Umno relevant.

DEMOLITION OF SRI MAHA KALIAMMAN TEMPLE AMPANG -- DR XAVIER JAYAKUMAR OF PAKATAN EXCO LOST THE PLOT ON TEMPLE “NOT REGISTERED ACCORDING TO THEIR FORMAT”.

PRESS STATEMENT
RE: DEMOLITION OF SRI MAHA KALIAMMAN TEMPLE AMPANG
DR XAVIER JAYAKUMAR OF PAKATAN EXCO LOST THE PLOT ON TEMPLE “NOT REGISTERED ACCORDING TO THEIR FORMAT”.
PAKATAN GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT FOLLOW THEIR PREDECESSORS
ATTITUDE OF MISLEADING THE PEOPLE ON “REGISTER” ISSUE.
IS PAKATAN GOVERNMENT WILLING TO LODGE POLICE REPORTS ON AMPANG JAYA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL??

HINDRAF is shocked with the statement made by Dr.Xavier Jayakumar which appears to echo that of the usual excuses given by BN and UMNO leaders that Temples are demolished because they are not “registered”.
We maintain our stand that there are no provisions currently under the Law to register the existence of a Temple and that this and all temples exist legally under Article 11 of the Federal Constitution. The issue of legality of a Temple does not exist at all and it is a duty of the Government to provide land and funds for places of worships belonging to any and all religious groups. The statement by Dr. Jayakumar that the Sri Maha Kaliamman Temple is not registered with the Selangor State Council and that it did not fulfil the “format” of registration is a joke and makes a mockery of the basic right to worship of every citizen.

It appears the Pakatan Government is singing the same tune of the previous Barisan Government in misleading the community to believe that the temple committee was at fault for not registering the temple.

We challenge Dr Jayakumar and his Pakatan Government to produce the necessary provisions of the state Law that stipulated the necessity of the so-called “format”. To add insult to injury he had the audacity to say this is not a Temple but a shrine. Is he trying to indicate that it was okay to demolish a shrine? How less is a shrine than a temple?? The problem with these politicians is they do not give a dam about the feelings of Hindus and the need to provide and gazette places of worships belonging to Hindus.

HINDRAF have specifically written to the 5 Pakatan led Governments to gazette all temples (which is directly under their purview) but till date they have not taken any positive steps to do the same and keep misleading the people in the same way BN did.

HINDRAF is taken aback with the statement that the MPAJ had ordered the demolition of the Temple without knowledge or directive of the state Government. If the statement of Dr.Xavier is true he should take the most responsible step by lodging police report and insist the police initiate criminal proceedings against MPAJ for their
Criminal act under the penal Code for defiling a place of worship.
The statement by Ampang MP Zuraida Kamaruddin justifying the demolition of the temple on grounds of misunderstanding between MPAJ and temple management on renovation works and documentation is another mockery. Is it consistent with good Governance to demolish a place of worship should there be a “misunderstanding”. Would anyone in MPAJ dare demolish a mosque?

HINDRAF hereby calls on the Selangor Government to stop playing politics and mislead the people and immediately gazette all places of worships and provide land and funding for the purposes of erection of places of worships belonging to Hindus and non-Muslims.

P. Waytha Moorthy
Chairman HINDRAF

Sara,

I saw people in this blog has asked you many questions, but you somehow very good at asking but not answering.

Do you know your a MP now, so its time for you to answer us. If you really a good MP go to parliament and open your mouth la, I would like to see how the Pakatan Indian MPs tear you upside down.

I have seen so many parliament vidoes is youtube plus RTM coverage, I have seen good debates by YB Kula vs Nazri; YB Gopala vs Tajuddin, Prof Rama vs Amirsham Aziz. Despite the debate was on Malay, all Pakatan YBs managed to shame BN badly. But I havent seen MIC MPs talking, we all know they cant debate and they are damn scared of opposition.

Sara, I wonder why you such a jaguh kampung raising this issues here. You are DAMN MP Now, behave as such and ask these questions in Parliament if you dare! IF i dont see you asking this on OCt 13 when parliament reopens, you are really a cheap shooter.

Plus please answer our questions, why is MIC not left BN even when UMNO said indians are worst than snakes?
WHy has MIC not left BN despite hundreds of temples (not shrines) demolished cold bloodedly?

Why Has MIC kept quiet when we Indians have so few medical seats in UNIs?

Why has MIC claimed HINDRAF 5 are terrorists and kept their mouth tightly shut when Nazri called the indian protestors as penyanggak?

Why why why?

Please defend us and dont sell our rights, attack UMNO and not Pakatan.

You realise you getting more unpopular by taking cheap shots, dont u

Dato Sara,

The following statement by Kapar MP has touched my heart and I and other Indians demand an answer from the MIC traitors:

Ingin dimaklumkan bahawa lima orang pemimpin Hindraf di tahan dibawah Akta Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (ISA) dalam mempertahankan hak kebebasan agama. Tetapi tiada seorang pun pemimpin MIC samada daripada cawangan , bahagian, pusat pernah atau sanggup melepaskan jawatan mereka sehingga kini. dalam mempertahankan hak kebebasan agama. Mereka cuba mempolitikkan isu Kuil Sri Maha Kaliaman, Ampang padahal Dato Seri S. Samy Velu , President MIC serta Dato’ M Saravanan Timbalan Menteri Wilayah Persekutuan gagal menghalang DBKL dari merobohkan Kuil Sri Muneswarar Hindu Sentul baru-baru ini.

SO whats the bloody use of you becoming a clown Deputy Minister when you cant stop the demolishment within WP?

You talk a lot but yet again sold us to DBKL, so its true you are just a bloody stooge in WP?

EMbarassing, you better have an answer, ITS not my intention to whack you but I want answers because it goes to show MIC has no power. I am very sad

Hello Wantedgal...

How often you go to temple ha?
Don't hide behind your statement. The same goes to MIC too. Where are MIC in this issue? T.Mohan is there for publicity and the worse has been done. Where was he when MPAJ demolishing the temple? Why talking and pointing each other when the worse are done. Looking for puclicity ahhh? Time to attack and revenge on PR control ya. Talking about PR in control of the state for months and comparing the MIC which was in power for 51 years? Dont say something not related to you and you ownself culture...

Dear Brother Saravanan....
MIC can't even built a proper building for itself. Please compare the current MIC building which so called represent the whole indian in Malaysia with our neighbour (UMNO). I think your new office looking more elegant. This issue is a total pointing each other and pointless. Please stop all this nonsence and concentrate on how to solve the issue. Temple should not be gamble with political issue. Its the only place where all indian should gather nor you are BN or PR. Its time for you dear brother Saravanan to be a leader to all Indians and not to be a referee in between.

Dear BLIND people,

If it was not for the mistake done by the Selangor Goverment, then why is Y.B. Manickavasagam threatens to quit PKR? Why not accept the fact that you guys in PKR made the mistake rather than being like a snake? What does Y.B.Xavier knows about temple? U think he appreciates temple? No way.
U are talking about racism!!! Fair Y.B. Hamidah showed her stupidity!!! Fair!!! But at least PR should punish their people who were racist!!! What happen to the KULIM MP who destructed the BAR council forum and raising racist remarks? What happen to the PAS youth chief who raised racist remarks? At least BN is going towards a change when the RACIST guy got suspended!!! What did PKR do?? Fear the MP will jump independent???
Anwar is just busy of his personal agenda? Why are you all so bloody blur?
Anyway if HINDAF "HINDU rights action force" supporters are of a true aim, then u guys should have condemmed the action by the Selangor Goverment to demolish the temple as done by HINDRAF chairman!!! Why u all are silent??? U guys just want the country to fall into a loophole.
Dont be a fool. Think wisely.

Datuk, in any way I hope that the BN goverment will abide by their say that there will not be any demolishing of temples. The PR goverment have proved they are just bloody CROOKES. Started off with the rasuah issue in Selangor MB secretary, then PKR councillor accepting the sexual bribe and saying its HALAL and now they break the temples. Guys just dont be lame.

Datuk all the best and I am back to MIC. Guys lets join hands and change MIC for good. I hope that the paradigm shift in MIC will sustain and people like you, Dr.Subra, Y.B.Devamany,Mogan,Perumal,Asogan, Kamalanathan, Murugesan will be the agent of change. Please do not murder this young and upcoming people Datuk as done those days. U have the power, please protect and lead them also to be the agent of change.

Coming to the core of the issue, firstly the temple committee should have applied for the permit, if not approved, place it in the gazetted area. One can't be building all kind of structures where they please!! Not even a temple! Period!

This Kavitha has been talking bout some temple being crushed in pahang. Hey, listen there are thousands of temples all around us, under the tree, behind a cow shed or even under the river(if possible, they will build it there)Come on,who the hell knows about it if its not brought up to the authorities. have some common sense, fight for schools & education! not for some Priest to earn a living!

You should know that one of the biggest issue here is seeking for help! Indians are not that bright in the area of networking and seeking a solution with proper guidance. They expect others to come forward to help them without them notifying in the first place of the existence of the problem.

You HINDRAF fellas, you can bash and name call and spread rumours about all others in the political fraternity. But challenging you to a healthy discussion would be just so wastefull. Thuggish behavior and emotionally unstable...

I support kavitha's comment. She got her facts right.Pls see the report below taken from The Star.

Can anyone from MIC or Dato Saravanan explain on this report????

Refer to The Star Paper.

It was Samy’s idea, says Khir

SHAH ALAM: Enough is enough. It is time to set the record straight on the demolition of the Hindu temple in Padang Jawa, said Datuk Seri Dr Mohamad Khir Toyo.

The former Selangor Mentri Besar claimed it was MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu who asked for it to be torn down.

“I have been silent on the issue long enough. Datuk Seri (Samy Vellu) met me two days before Deepavali at the Grand Bluewave Hotel in Shah Alam where the Prime Minister (was attending a function.

“The Prime Minister was there when Samy Vellu asked me to put off the demolition of the temple in Padang Jawa in the interest of the Indian community and we stopped the exercise despite having a court order to go ahead,” Dr Khir said yesterday.

However, several days after Deepavali, he said, Samy Vellu called him at 11pm and told him that the temple had been infiltrated by Hindraf supporters who planned to carry out a 40-day fast and prayers there to rile up nearby residents.

“It was during this conversation that he told me that we (the state government) should move in and demolish the temple to deter Hindraf supporters from capitalising on the temple issue,” Dr Khir said.

“It is unfair for him to now blame the whole episode on me since I had only taken his suggestion as the leader representing the Indian community to carry out the demolition.”

When contacted Samy Vellu said the temple was already “considered” as demolished when the deities were removed on Oct 30.

“How can it be a temple, when the deities had been removed. It is only a structure,” he said.

It is believed that the deities were removed after the enforcement personnel tore down the illegal extension of the temple on Oct 30.

It was reported that the enforcement officers came to the temple at 10am on Oct 30 to tear it down but they did not produce any court order when requested.

The temple committee was given until 2pm to remove the deities.

After the enforcement officers came back at 2pm, they said that the order for the demolition came from Dr Khir and a free for all started at 4pm.

Samy Vellu said he went to the temple at 4pm after part of the temple had been demolished and later rushed off to meet Dr Khir and Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

“My request to him (Dr Mohd Khir) is to stop talking about all these and let us rebuild the Barisan Nasional and the component parties to regain the support of the people,” he said.

My friend and I commented yesterday, yet Dato Sara has not published it. So much for transparency? Why Dato, difficult questions huh, why become a MP(malay majority area) if you cant answer us?

And Dato did you hear MPAJ deputy president who ordered for the shrine to be removed has been suspended? Did MIC dare to such things or were even able to suggest?

I saw the Kg Jawa demolishment in youtube and see how Samy was treated by the council officers - quite disgraceful really.

The saddest part, Khir Toyo has confessed that he demolished the temple after Samy Velu asked him to do so. Very Very sad.

What abt the Muniswar temple in Sentul recently? Why didnt you stop it in the capacity of Deputy Minister? Why meddling into other issues when you cant even function as a deputy minister. Shameful Dato.

Is my comment again going to be ignored? If all of us are ignored again and again, your blog will only serve as bodeking tool for MIC members and wont be any constructive at all. Maybe you will feel nice with 3-4 readers supporting you all the time saying 'yes datuk, i agree' rather than us saying what we feel.

Come on Dato Sara,

Sudah Habis modal kah????

Where were you guys when hundreds of temples was demolished all over Malaysia in the last half a decade???

You denied HINDRAF's claims that temples are being demolished. Your "kepala" even came out with claims that more temples was built than demolished.... ADA BETUL KAH??

Now for a 19 year old small temple, you cheap MIC gangsters are hitting at PAKATAN government. Hey, have you guys ever questioned when temples were demolished and people was beaten up for defending thier temples?

NO GUTS, NO TALKING CRAP
BOLEH BLAH lah...........

On the other hand, Selangor MB has taken steps to rectify the situation, and MIC/BN never did in 50 years.

So, stop barking over a mountain....

Please show some respect guys...name bashing will not do any good. How a person can read your comment and feel bloody irritated..it shows a lot about your background...your blunt-thuggish approach..being overly vocal and loud...doesn't mean that you are smarter...its the reverse.
People like Bala, Kavitha, maaran..should learn one or two about being polite and vocal at the same time. one Can just imagine what kind of imprints you have put on your kids....and blaming our indian socio economic problems on political parties...improve yourself before trying to impart your wisdom to others.
