What kind of MIC do you prefer?

Read all your comments and found it interesting. Now its time for the people to talk. MIC was formed more than 50 years ago with the sole intention of uniting the community, which was then fragmented, to speak with one voice and to strive for the independence of the nation. As time passed the party evolved. Now, we are at a crossroads. You the people, tell me, what kind of MIC do you expect? What should be the party's aims and strategies?
You can talk about the past, but I feel discussing the past will only evoke anger, frustration and more dissapointment. So, I request that you tell me what do you want from the party? How can the MIC represent the entire cross section of the Indian community and not only Tamils in the country? What would be the ideal MIC, to represent all Malaysian Indians?

"MIC A BURDEN TO THE SOCIETY"

DO WE WANT OUR NEW GENERATION TO CARRY THE BURDEN OF SAMY VELU AND HIS USELESS SUBJECTS?
ANY LEADER WITH SAMY VELU'S ATTITUDE WILL NOT BE A GOOD LEADER
PUT IT IN YOUR BLOG.......

EVERYDAY WHEN YOU FEED YOUR FAMILY, IT IS TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
EVERYDAY WHEN YOU EAT, IT IS TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
EVERYDAY WHEN YOU BUY THINGS FOR YOUR SON AND DAUGHTHERS, IT IS TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
EVERYDAY WHEN YOU PRAY, YOU ARE BLESSED WITH TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
EVERYDAY WHEN YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE, IT IS THE TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
EVERYDAY WHEN YOU FEEL PROUD OF BECOMING A MINISTER, IT IS THE TAXPAYER'S MONEY,
THE TAXPAYERS WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY. IT IS THEIR BLOOD.
DO YOU DESERVE THE INCOME?
LOOK AT YOUR CHILDREN. DO YOU WANT TO GROOM THEM WITH OUR BLOOD?
YOUR SIN WILL CONTINUE WITH YOUR CHILDREN AND FOR GENERATIONS...FOR SUCKING PEOPLE'S BLOOD

Hi Dato,
First of all I would like to congrats Dato for what you are today.
I was one of MIC Unit Trust staff (MIC Viji). It's made me proud to see Dato has come as far to where Dato is now.
My ambition is to get more Indian youth's to join MIC and do as much as what Dato has done.
There are a bunch of Indian youth in my working place and I'm very sure none of them is active in any politics party, but the problem is most of them did not have a good pictures of MIC aspirations. Here we have to talk to them what is blocking them from joining MIC.
Please guide me how to tackle them, since I don’t what most of this professional guys swing to opposition without knowing the truth of MIC vision.
Regards.

What MIC can do as a starter, is to come clean with MAIKA Holdings and its share. People invested huge amounts of money, borrowing from banks, loan sharks, families, friends, even enemies, but all MAIKA Holdings does during their AGM is hire thugs to take care of those who ask questions.

What is wrong with MAIKA Holdings Committee come out clean about the money, where it went and what happened to it?

This would be the first step, if MAIKA Holdings come clean, to capture Indians hearts, and if it is done wisely and dilligently, probably their votes as well.

Secondly, MIC and AIMST are two different entity although the President Son Mr S.Vel Pari could be sitting in the main board.

Thirdly, when the President talks about a young leader to take over MIC and rebranding it, what does he means? He was quoted as saying that the young generation dont understand what MIC has done all this years for the Indians?

What about trying to do something for the Indian youths,so MIC can capture their hearts and woo their confidence?

Another thing which is so sad and humiliating, that YB, even you being the Federal Terrority MIC top brass, during the election campaigns, MIC Brickfields failed to enter few areas in that district. It was said that if the MIC representatives enter their Kampung, they will hurt them.

Then it was the NGO who did the job by wooing the votes.

So the question is why cant MIC penetrate into the Indians community, and why MIC Brickfields too it so lightly?

ALthough MIC did offer some help for the needed Indians, but only now after the election 2008, MIC, President are revealing or in fact asking the govt why they never did provide this much of PSD or loans or scholarships for the Indians?

personally, I feel that this questions should have come earlier, and more published in the Media.

I am so positive that MIC can achieve its goal by wooing and gaining the confidence of Indians, by discussing more beneficial issues in the AGMs.

Thank you
Regards

Agreed !!! Youngters hate when we mentioned MIC or Samy Velu. Why !!!!! They don't have confident on MIC and Samy Velu anymore. We have voted out Samy Velu, because we don't want him to lead our Indian representative party.Yet he's still stuborn and want to rule the party. He's not even a MP why he's in party now.Dato Sara, please take over the party and bring more new young members. We have lost trust with Samy Velu. Now he bring Dato Subra.Another crook for a crook.
We need answer for MAIKA SHARES.Even invested in MAIKA because of MIC and Samy Velu's word.Noe he's making the indian suffer and he can comfortability in S class benz. Why do he nede to hit other people rice bowl for him to get rich. Please Dato Saravanan, change MIC and change the leader if you want MIC to be alive.Trust me it's a Makkal Sakthi's decision now.People can decide anything now.Indian are not stupid as what MIC leaders think.Beware of that.

Dear DM sir,

I happen to be an Indian Christian and the general feeling among our group is that MIC never really cared about us. Maybe there wasn't many Christians in the party but SV always said the MIC represented all Indians. This was not true. I am from Subang contituency and I had wanted to vote for Murugesan but threw my lot behind Sivarasa because he seemed to me more of a reliable fellow and had a track record of good work. I knew nothing of Murugesan, and he never came back to the area after the defeat. His posters are still hanging around my housing estate.
In my next posting, I'll record my suggestions for MIC 2.0 to ponder.

THIS COULD BE USEFUL IN YOUR BLOG. BLOGS ARE FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE THE COURAGE TO BRAINSTORM

WHY INDIAN PROFESSIONALS ARE OUT OF MIC?

THIS IS NOT A MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION....ANALYZE IT, THINK ABOUT IT AND USE YOUR WISDOM AS BELOW:

1. MIC LEADERS ARE NOT REPRESENTING A LEADING EXAMPLE

2. MIC BECAME A FAMILY BUSINESS FOR SAMY VELU

3. MAIKA HOLDINGS - A REAL BETRAYAL TO THE INDIAN COMMUNITY
LET THE PROFESSIONALS RUN MAIKA IF YOU HAVE THE INTEGRITY AND REAL HEART TO CHANGE

4. CHANGE OF LEADERSHIP - A MUST

5. INDIAN COMMUNITY HAS BEEN MURDERED FOR TWO GENERATIONS IN TERMS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC - WHO CAUSED IT

6. USE OF THUGS AND GANGSTERS IN MIC MEETINGS AND MAIKA AGM (EG: BY SAMY VELU AND HIS FAMILY)

7. NONE OF THE MIC POLITICIANS ESPECIALLY PALANIVEL, SOTHINATHAN,
OR SARAVANAN HAVE THE GUTS TO QUESTION THEIR LEADER - THIS LEAD
TO ONE WAY COMMUNICATION OR ONLY INSTRUCTIONS FROM SAMY VELU

8. MIC POLITICIANS WORKS FOR SAMY VELU NOT FOR THE INDIAN COMMUNITY

9. MIC POLITICIANS LOST THEIR INTEGRITY, HONESTY, DIGNITY, HUMBLENESS,COURAGE AND WISDOM - SOLD OUT TO SAMY VELU

10. MIC SHOULD NOT HAVE USED THE TERM "WE ARE THE ONLY PARTY
REPRESENTING INDIANS" - SORRY TO SAY THAT WE WERE MURDERED FOR TWO GENERATIONS FOR SUPPORTING THIS QUOTE INCLUDING ME

11. FEEDBACKS FROM PROFESSIONALS ARE NOT TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATIONS
DUE TO SELFISH PROPAGANDA BY MIC POLITCIANS

REMEMBER THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF WAY TO MAKE MONEY. PLEASE DO NOT USE POLITICS TO ENRICH YOURSELF. THIS IS OUR BLOOD - TAXPAYER'S MONEY

WHICH SHOULD BE USED TO HELP THE POOR AND TO UPGRADE THE COMMUNITY.

IF LEE KUAN YEW CAN PROSPER SINGAPORE WITHOUT ANY NATURAL RESOURCES, IT IS BECAUSE OF HIS WISDOM, SINCERITY, HONESTY AND HIS CHALLENGE TO UPGRADE THE SINGAPOREAN COMMUNITY.

I HOPE MY DREAM WILL COME TRUE ONE DAY WHEN LEE KUAN YEW BECOME AN INDIAN AND HELM MIC - is this for real? this is a hope, dream....

WE THE INDIAN COMMUNITY IS NOT EVEN AS BIG AS SINGAPOREAN POPULATION BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO US?

WHAT WE NEED IS A GOOD STRATEGY? YOU NEED GOOD STRATEGY MAKERS, NOT LEADERS WHO THINK ABOUT ROBBING PEOPLE'S MONEY.

I STAND BY WORD THAT MIC HAS MURDERED TWO GENERATIONS OF INDIANS IN TERMS OF SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ASPECTS

I AM NOT AN ENEMY OF MIC NOR OPPOSITION. I AM A PUBLIC.

I would prefer the MIC to represent all communities and not just Indian. We should stop politics along racial lines and move towards a multi racial outlook. History has spoken for itself and now, it is just a matter of time where communal politics will be discarded. YB, I am a young professional and would like to serve the interests of all Malaysians! Maybe MIC can be the catalyst for this new paradigm and show the others that we care for all Malaysians. You are in a position to make a difference and you need to work from inside to make these changes. You will receive the support for sure and many will see you as a democratic politicians sincerely seeking to change. Race based politics must go. We will continue to move backwards. I am willing to serve the community and uplift the standards of all young aspiring Malaysians. We need vision, mission and patience no doubt but what really would bring about changes will be honesty. MIC, MCA, UMNO and the rest have way passed its sell by date and the new generation will not support a party that dwells on racial lines. YB, make that change, focus on all Malaysians and uplift the Indian community at the same time and play catch up. Getting the deserved indians scholarships would be an ideal start! May the force be with you.

YB, if your sincerity to welcome all Indians to joind hands to make this a better Malaysia for all (malays, indians, chinese dan lain-lain), I will be the first to hand in my application form. It will be important for you to show your game plan as to how you plan to achieve this as we all know from the past, severe limitations were imposed to non tamils to join and serve the party. Like I have mentioned in my previous posts, the change must come from within and you need support to defeat the disease within the party. Reinvent would be crucial and please outline how the younger folks will be drafted to make their voices heard. Im in favour of a multiracial party and serve the community! thepublicprosecutor@hotmail.com

First, just ensure that the 9MP is amended to include all those that were supposed to have been genuinely done by an honest government for the Indians offsetting the acute neglect and omission of the last 50 years. Also amend the Vision 2020 too and implement actions to ensure that all communities in the country are genuinely taken care of in equitable manner. In other words, walk your talk.

Second, hand over the management of MAIKA Holdings to a genuine professional and capable group to manage without political interference. All politicians and their proxies should, in a display of self-respect, leave the company for good and never ever think of having anything to do with it. If this is done, I am sure MAIKA can be rescued and returned to produce a decent profit within a year or two.

Third, the MIC and the Government should take efforts to get land titles issued to all remaining Hindu temples in the country within the next 3 months so that the temple sittings are legalized. Issuance of land titles is the responsibility of the State Authority. This message therefore goes to opposition held state governments too. Also require that Hindu temples to submit proper building plans and approve them within the next 6 months. Never ever deny or delay unreasonably any request for approval of building plans for Hindu temples just because they are Hindu temples.

Personally, I would like an MIC which represents all Indians and not only the Tamils. I would also like to see more democracy in the party as currently it is only about one 72-year-old man and him only. I would also like to see an MIC which does not reward cronnies and penalise critics. I would also like an MIC free of male chauvanism and where women are given a free hand and platform to exploit their potential. Are these tall orders? BTW why haven't any of my comments published?

I will prefer a non existent MIC. A defunct MIC. That is preferable. Just leave the Indians to do their own thing and I am sure we will survive better. Unfortunately the brush with which MIC paints itself is also used to paint the rest of us Indians who don't belong to MIC.

Do you know that within the Indian diaspora it is only the Malaysian Indians who are politically represented? Does that explain to some extent our economic performance as a society in Malaysia? the Indians in the UK, America, New Zealand and Australia have done very well for themselves. In African countries where we have migrated to since over a 100 years ago and in Fiji where we also have a critical mass, without political representation we literally control the economy. So, can you guys do me a favour and close shop?

" Leadership starts with good morale"
How can MIC attaract the support of young generation when its represented by people with low morale. PUTERA MIC headed by Vickneswaran, who constantly get negative remark of his gangsterims and aggresive behaviour. PUTERI MIC coumcil member comprises people like Shaila Nair who was famous for her infamous porn video. How can a celebrity with low morale be an example for young generation? Moreover being the daughter in law of MIC president! What agenda does she has for the indian society? How to pose and talk vulgar on video and post it to public? Get red of these ppl and recruit genuine social minded as members and leaders as an example for young!
